What is the Family Planning Program?

The Family Planning Program offers contraception (birth control methods) for women who wish to delay pregnancy. The appointment will include a complete female exam, pap test, sexually transmitted infection check, blood work and education. http://www.fha.state.md.us/mch

Who is eligible for the program?

Any woman who is trying to prevent a pregnancy is eligible for confidential services. The fee is based on an income/ability to pay scale. Medical Assistance is accepted.

What is Emergency Contraception?

Emergency contraception is most effective if used within 120 hours (5 days) of an incident of unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy.

Who is eligible?

Anyone who is trying to prevent a pregnancy is eligible for confidential service.
