Here to Help, Smoking Cessation Group Begins Mar. 29

Are you ready to quit smoking?

The decision to quit smoking is one of the most important steps you can take to improve your overall health. It is never too late to curb the habit, and we are here to help.

Join us on Tuesday evenings for four virtual sessions starting Mar. 29 at 6 p.m. The group will meet on Apr. 12, 19, and 26. Call 800-515-0044 to register.

You receive benefits by curtailing your tobacco habit, including ten years added to your life expectancy, a decreased risk for cancer, heart disease, and erectile and sexual dysfunction. And on top of it all, the average smoker saves $2,200 a year.

What’s the best way to quit smoking?

There is no best way to quit smoking, but studies have shown that a multi-pronged strategy, including participating in a support group, dramatically increases your chances of success.
Our smoking cession program encourages a combination of medications and nicotine replacement therapies – nicotine gum or the patch and behavioral therapy like exercise, reading material, and individual or group counseling.

What’s the next step?

Being ready and wanting to quit is the essential first step to quitting smoking. You need to decide to give yourself the most precious gift a smoker can give to themselves – a gift of life, health, and self-esteem – by becoming a nonsmoker.
