Administrative Care Coordination Unit  & Ombudsman Program

The Administrative Care Coordination Unit (ACCU)  provides Medical Assistance recipients education and care coordination to access, utilize and navigate the manged care organization (MCO)/Fee-for-Service health care system.  The program ensures clients remain in care and have access to needed health care services, local resources and programs.

The Ombudsman Program provides mediation between an MCO, MCO provider and the enrollee in an attempt to resolve disputes regarding coordination of care.  Assistance is provided on behalf of the enrollee until a resolution is reached.
