Administrative Care Coordination Unit  & Ombudsman Program

The Administrative Care Coordination Unit (ACCU)  provides Medical Assistance recipients education and care coordination to access, utilize and navigate the managed care organization (MCO)/Fee-for-Service health care system.  The program ensures clients remain in care and access needed healthcare services, local resources, and programs.

The Ombudsman Program provides mediation between an MCO, MCO provider, and the enrollee to resolve disputes regarding care coordination.  Assistance is provided on behalf of the enrollee until a resolution is reached.
