The Cecil County Cancer Task Force is a coalition of agencies, organizations, healthcare providers, community partners, and residents, committed to improving the health of Cecil County residents in cancer prevention, education, screening, treatment, advocacy, and public health issues. Its mission is to plan strategies to raise awareness of the importance of cancer screening to reduce cancer mortality. The task force is part of the Cecil County Community Health Advisory Committee (CHAC), the local health improvement planning coalition. CHAC works to find solutions for critical health problems that adversely impact Cecil County residents. Coalition meetings are held quarterly at the Cecil County Health Department or other locations as announced.
