Coordinator Special Programs, Health Sevices I, Full-time, Contractual, Deadline 2/08/2022

Description: This position will coordinate care by helping individuals transition from substance abuse residential treatment to community-based aftercare, recovery-based housing, and support.

Minimum qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.

Office Clerk I – Contractual – Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center, closes 2/09/2023.

Description: The primary purpose of this full-time contractual position is to perform clerical duties, including responding to incoming telephone calls and assisting visitors at the reception window. This position will also collect and communicate data regarding insurance company authorizations for clinical services. This position will track the authorized number of outpatient visits and treatment authorization expirations, dates for treatment plan submissions, and related insurance company case reviews. This position may also assist with collecting a patient’s hair, saliva, and/or urine for alcohol and drug screen testing.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of the eighth grade.

Experience: Six months of experience performing clerical duties in an office environment. Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Experience providing administrative support for managerial-level staff members maintaining records, handling confidential documents and/or reports, working with public and community agencies officials, managing digital document filing, including encrypted documents and email correspondence, utilizing Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat.

Environmental Health Aide II – Merit – Environmental Health, closes 2/09/2023.

Description: This position is entry-level work in environmental health, conducting environmental health surveys and investigations to determine compliance with applicable health and environmental laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduating from an accredited high school or possessing a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience in sanitation or closely related fields. Experience working independently or in teams in environmental health.

Coordinator Special Programs III, DD – Special Populations, closes 2/24/2023. This recruitment is for multiple full-time merit positions.

Description: This position will provide targeted case management services and coordinate community services for individuals with developmental disabilities who are residents of Cecil County and are eligible for such services. This position will provide referrals for services and facilitate access to day/residential/support services. This position will also facilitate the development of the annual Person-Centered Plan while assisting with transition planning and monitoring individuals both in-service and on the waiting list. These efforts will work to maintain the individual in the community, as well as to promote individual choice and overall quality of life.

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field.

Experience: Two years of professional experience in health services, one year of which must have been in professional work related to support services and programs for developmentally disabled clients. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health or human service field for one year of the required general experience. Experience in the Developmental Disabilities option must include professional work related to the support services and programs for developmentally disabled clients.

Program Administrator III, HS – Health Promotion, closes on 2/10/2023.

Description: The primary purpose of this position is to plan, develop, implement and evaluate health promotion activities for Cecil County. This position serves as Director of the Division of Health Promotion.

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.

Experience: Six years of professional experience in health services; three years must have been in Health Services professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, or Addictions, and four years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level. The desired candidate should possess experience with community engagement, including collaborating with community partners to achieve population health goals, and professional experience in health promotion and disease prevention.
