Lung Cancer Screening

Skin Cancer Screening

1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.

When caught early, skin cancer is highly treatable.

Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless of skin color. You may be more at risk for developing skin cancer if you:

  • Have had excessive sun exposure
  • Use indoor tanning beds
  • Are older aged
  • Have skin that burns easily, freckles, or a large number of moles
  • Have a family history of skin cancer

Maryland residents who are age 18 and older, uninsured or underinsured may be eligible for a no-cost skin assessment.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

The Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) provides no-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings to eligible individuals who:

  • Live in Maryland
  • Have limited income
  • Have no health insurance or insurance that does not fully pay for cancer screenings*
  • Belong to the following age groups:
    • For breast cancer screening — 40 to 64 years old, or over 65, and do not have Medicare Part B.
    • For cervical cancer screening — 21 to 64 years old or over 65 and do not have Medicare Part B.

*Individuals should contact the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program at Upper Shore Regional Hub at 410-778-7970 to see if they qualify for the program.
