Join the Mental Health First Aid for Adults Applied Skills Workshop

Maryland ROTA (Rural Opioid Technical Assistance)- University of Maryland Extension will host the Mental Health First Aid for Adults workshop on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Use this link below to preregister and get started on the materials that need to be completed before the class begins.

This workshop will teach people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use issues, how to best offer and provide initial help, and guide someone toward appropriate care. Topics will include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.

This is a hybrid class with a self-paced independent online learning component combined with a 5-hour in-person workshop at 99 N. Main St., Port Deposit.

Once registered for the workshop, participants will receive instructions and login credentials to complete the self-paced portion of the class, which must be completed in order to be admitted into the workshop.
