About Healthy Families Cecil County:

We proudly operate as an affiliate of Healthy Families America, working closely with families in our community. Our mission is to support positive parent-child relationships, enhance family self-sufficiency, and promote children’s social-emotional well-being through intensive home visits. Our services are free to families who enroll in the program.

Our Program Goals:

Engaging Families: We are committed to building and sustaining community partnerships, ensuring that overburdened families receive home visiting services prenatally or at birth.

Strengthening Bonds: We are dedicated to cultivating and reinforcing nurturing parent-child relationships.

Promoting Growth: Healthy Families Cecil County offers in-home visits and implements an evidence-based curriculum fostering healthy childhood growth and development.

Enhancing Family Support: We strive to reduce risks, build protective factors and enhance family functioning by linking families to other community resources and programs.

For Pregnant Women: We provide valuable support and education on pregnancy, parent-child bonding, child development, accessing medical care, transportation, preparing for the baby, and connecting with vital resources.

For Families and Children: Our services encompass family support, education on infant/toddler growth, developmental monitoring, immunization referrals, assistance accessing pediatric medical care, age-appropriate curriculum modules (birth – 5 years), child developmental screening/assessment, and early intervention referrals.
