Exciting News for Maryland Families! Starting July 1, 2023, the Healthy Babies Equity Act is making a huge difference! Noncitizen pregnant individuals, regardless of immigration status, can now access Medicaid coverage. The coverage includes pregnancy and four months post-birth, and it can also cover healthcare expenses from three months before applying. Services extend beyond pregnancy-related care.To qualify, you must be:

• Noncitizens without Medicaid due to immigration status.
• Maryland resident.
• Currently or recently pregnant.
• Income up to 250% of the federal poverty level (FPL).
